So I'm guessing anyone living in Cali probably knows about Sprouts Farmers Market. Today, lets explore how to buy Zero Waste products here!
Welcome to the Bulk Area! Although it will vary from location, the bulk section of Sprouts is impressive, you can get grains, nuts, coffee, chocolate, oats...
Bulk Section
↑ 上層on top is mostly grains, below there's sugar, flour available
↑ 粉類種類超多，除了白麵粉、全麥麵粉、雜糧麵粉之外，還有玉米粉、鷹嘴豆粉...各種連聽都沒聽過的粉類。
So to go zero packaging, we chose to use our eco mesh bags to buy them, since theirlight weight enough to discount the price. (There are tare weights available on the bag, so perhaps you can ask the cashier to deduct it)
Almost everything you need is available in bulk!
↑ 燕麥rolled oats
↑ 生杏仁raw almonds
↑ 腰果 Cashew
↑ 花生巧克力 Peanut chocolate
↑ 軟糖
Also plenty of coffee, although the freshness may be questioned.
↑ Remember to put the PLU! The cashier can also check what the content is if you want to save on using the tags.
Rice and spices are also available
↑ A tiny spice section not in the bulk section, so keep your eyes peeled!
Vegetables and Fruits

Buy what you need, so no food goes to waste
Meat
For people who eat meat, also options to buy without package, but since we're vegetarians we didn't buy any, so you'll have to ask! My guess is to have the butcher have it in the paper, but bring your own container!
Olives

ICE CREAM!! oh wait... there's packaging... But I still gotta take a look!
There's not much choices to get (package free) bread at Sprouts, so we headed to Panara Bread.
↑ Cage Free Eggs, which we got at Trader Joe's. (Disclaimer, there's packaging, but we compost the egg cartons!)
So for this grocery trip, other than milk we managed to get everything almost completely package free! What a wonderful sight to behold~
