So a couple friends asked why we decided to embark on this zero waste journey. For starters, a lot of it stemmed from my Dad's work in organic, local, farming, etc. It was pretty natural for me to also be environmental consciousness. We live close to a zero waste lifestyle in Taiwan, with only a couple exceptions due to not being to find package-free options and not completely willing to give up on that particular food. (Mostly diary), As a vegetarian, I do try to cut back as much diary as possible, but going to the US will be hard to for me. (I love ice cream haha)
So anyway, most people refer to the USA as the most wasteful, so I don't know how successful we'll be. But I just hope that our documents will help anyone that lives /wants to go zero waste will know the extent it's possible during travel. So stay tuned! This blog will go with the name Zero Waste Travel Diary, while we don't expect to go completely trash free, as there certainly will be instants that it will be extremely difficult or impossible, but we're do our best!
With lots of love~
