Public Transportation
You can either directly tap with your credit card (Apple pay / Google pay), or purchase an Opal card. Whichever works better for you!
It's the same for either bus or train, I chose to use my Travels Rewards card to pay for public transportation so I wouldn't need a plastic card, the only downside is it's harder to keep track of you travel spendings.
Food options in Sydney
It's extremely easy to get plant-based / vegetarian food in Sydney, as the majority of places (even fast food!) provide at least one option that is usually meat-free.

Although not a zero waste store, they provide plenty of eco-friendly products and a nice vegan cafe on the 1st floor! I love this little shop and frequently visited it when passing by to take the train
